Donate to Hurricane Relief Efforts

Note to our Solar Solutions Collective Family: As you know we are headquartered in the mountains of western North Carolina, and we have seen first hand the effects of the hurricane. The news outlets are under reporting what is going on. Some UNCONFIRMED local reports from people we know on the ground and in the hardest hit areas are saying that there are thousands of bodies. They have talked to people that watched their loved ones be swept away by floodwaters and mudslides. They are finding bodies 20 feet in the trees where the water was so high.

There is no way power will be restored anytime soon and could be weeks or even months in some areas. We know there are a lot of people wanting to help/willing to help, but don’t know how.  We are helping. The Solar Solutions Collective works globally putting Sun Ovens into the hands of people in need. Sun Ovens are designed to work with no power. Sun Ovens will let people cook, sterilize equipment, pasteurize safe drinking water, and more. We are currently working to get the Sun Ovens out to these communities that still have no power.

Your support is greatly needed. Your donations will contribute directly to this mission. Please make a donation today.

Disclaimer on Tax Deduction Exemption: The Solar Solutions Collective has filed an exemption application that is pending approval with the IRS. According to the IRS, exempt status is recognized back to the date the organization was created. Thus, while an application is pending, the organization can treat itself as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3). However, contributors to the organization need to know that they do not have advance assurance of deductibility because the organization’s exemption is pending. If the organization ultimately qualifies for exemption for the period in which the contribution is made, the contribution will be tax-deductible by the donor. Alternatively, if the organization ultimately does not qualify for exemption, then the contribution will not be tax deductible.
